Cobb Energy Performing Arts CentreLocated in Northwest Atlanta, near Interstates 75 and 285, The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is Atlanta’s hot spot for performing arts of every kind. From Broadway shows to family performances, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is Atlanta’s finest venue for performing arts.

It is home to a wide array of shows and concerts, and also serves as a venue for corporate meetings and events.

The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre took more than two years to construct and cost an estimated $145 million. Large donors of this project included Cobb Energy Management Corporation and John A. Williams, a private real estate developer.

Completed in 2007, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is the first major performing arts center to be built in metro Atlanta for four decades.

This grand, modern structure features a multi-story glass façade, an alabaster staircase, 600-pound Mirano glass and gold chandeliers accenting the main lobby and glass works of art by famed artist Dale Chihuly.

Features of this venue include:

  • A 2,750-seat theatre named after John A. Williams. The center, which is the centerpiece of the facility, is specifically designed to host both acoustic and amplified performances (for Broadway show performances).
  • Seating within the theatre includes three levels – the orchestra, the mezzanine and the grand tier – as well as fourteen balcony boxes.
  • A 10,000 square foot ballroom named after Kessel D. Stelling, Jr.
  • A courtyard and terrace
  • Parking for 1,000, including a 700-space parking deck
  • Full-service food and beverage capabilities

Paul wrote: I just recently went to see a show at the Cobb Energy Centre and was really pleased with the facility. Everything was state of the art: the seating area is built in a such a way that no seat has an obstructed view, the sound is incredible and the staff is as polite as can be. I will definately go see more shows at the Cobb Energy Centre.
