East Cobb County Real Estate
Ask a Marietta or Roswell resident where they live, and you will most likely hear "East Cobb" instead of their actual city, as the residents of this area are proud of their community. East Cobb is most significantly known for it's beautiful homes, parks and top rated excellent schools. Real Estate in the East Cobb area is some of the most expensive in the country, with the average home price over $300,000 and luxury estates which can exceed $1 million. East Cobb's popularity is mainly due to top rated schools and the close proximity to Downtown Atlanta, thus perpetuating the strong real estate dollar.
East Cobb County
East Cobb generally refers to certain areas of Cobb County, Georgia which sits east of Interstate 75, north of the Chattahoochee River and west of North Fulton County. The northern border is roughly Cherokee County or Hwy 92. East Cobb does not have a zip code, and primarily consists of unincorporated Marietta, but a sizeable portion of unincorporated Roswell also falls within its bounds, as defined by USPS ZIP codes. A tiny slice of unincorporated Atlanta is in the southernmost tip near Vinings, and a portion of the northwest is in unincorporated Kennesaw. No part of East Cobb technically falls within incorporated city limits.
The Chattahoochee River runs along the southern end of East Cobb and offers fishing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, camping, picnicking and hiking. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area provides another 48 miles of public riverfront access for visitors. Sope Creek begins in the northern part of Cobb County and winds its way through East Cobb before it ends at the Chattahoochee River. East Cobb Park which features walking trails, a picnic pavilion, a fenced recreation area and a picturesque creek, is a very recent addition to East Cobb's 40-plus parks.
East Cobb Homes
East Cobb is an area dedicated to the progression and growth of its community while preserving the family-friendly spirit that makes it one of the most desirable places in Georgia to call home.
